Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder that affects millions of people globally. It is a life-long condition that requires frequent blood transfusions to manage the symptoms and lead a healthy life. In many cases, patients with thalassemia require blood transfusions every two to four weeks, depending on the severity of their condition. As a result, the demand for blood is always high in thalassemia centers, making it crucial to promote regular blood donation.

Dr. K. Bharath Kumar, the Founder at KBK Multispeciality Hospitals, is known for his dedication to social welfare activities. He has received numerous awards for his services to the community and has been associated with several initiatives aimed at improving the health and well-being of the people. Speaking about the mega blood camp, Dr. Kumar said, “We are excited to partner with JCI Hyderabad SUPAR to organize this noble initiative. We believe that this camp will not only create awareness about the importance of blood donation but also help save the lives of thalassemia patients. We urge everyone to participate and contribute to this cause.”

JCI Hyderabad SUPAR is a non-profit organization that works towards creating a positive impact on society and empowering individuals to take up social responsibilities. The President of JCI Hyderabad SUPAR, Nikeelu Gunda, has urged all Jaycee members to participate in the blood camp and make it a grand success. “We are proud to partner with KBK Hospitals to organize this mega blood camp. It is an opportunity for all of us to contribute to society and make a difference in someone’s life. We urge everyone to come forward and donate blood,” said Mr. Gunda.

The blood camp organized by KBK Hospitals and JCI Hyderabad SUPAR will be following WHO and government guidelines to ensure the safety of donors and patients amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. All necessary arrangements will be made to ensure social distancing, sanitization, and other safety measures. The donors will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and other health conditions before the donation, and those found unfit will not be allowed to donate blood.

The camp is expected to draw a large number of donors from all over Hyderabad, including the members of JCI Hyderabad SUPAR and other social organizations. The donors will have the satisfaction of knowing that their blood donation could save the life of someone in need. Regular blood donation is crucial to meeting the demand for blood in thalassemia centers and other medical emergencies. It is an act of kindness that can make a significant impact on someone’s life.
